We center our adventures on the St. Joe and Kalamazoo Rivers for a fishing experience unlike any other. The St. Joe River is ranked in the Top 10 BEST Great Lakes Steelhead Rivers with more than 50,000 fish running up the river every year. For sheer numbers, it's one of the finest Steelhead rivers in the Midwest.
The Kalamazoo River is a little gem that has just recently started getting attention outside of the local market. It has around 22,000 fish a year and with no fish-ladder at the Allegan Dam they can really
pack in the lower stretches.

Steelhead are one of the most elusive species of fish in fresh water and NOTHING is more thrilling than hooking a Fall Steelhead on light tackle!
Our local fishing can start as early as mid October and really gets ramped up November - February . When dressed properly December - February offers some EXCEPTIONAL opportunities to put double
digits in the net with very little fishing pressure and predictable holding patterns.

I have spent HUNDREDS of hours fine tuning this technique and have found it to be a fun interactive way to get big numbers of these iconic fish.

Back Trolling is a method of positing the boat upstream from where the fish are holding and putting out a array of diving body baits then slowly slipping down stream .
